Krister Fahlström appointed new CEO of EBP as Mattias Ivansson takes on new role
EBP in Olofström is entering a new phase of growth and development. As part of this transition, Mattias Ivansson will step down as CEO to take on a new CEO position elsewhere.
On 1 July, Krister Fahlström, previously CEO of the subsidiary PVI Segerström, took over as CEO of EBP. Mattias Ivansson remains on EBP’s Board of Directors, helping to ensure continuity and supporting the company’s continued development.
Over the past few years, EBP has seen strong progress, with higher revenue and a significant improvement in financial performance. The company has also strengthened its organisation and continued to develop its industrial capabilities.
“It has been an intense and rewarding few years, and I am proud of what we have achieved together with all the dedicated employees at EBP,” says Mattias Ivansson. “We have taken several important steps forward and built a solid foundation for the future. This feels like the right time for me to take on a new challenge, while I am pleased to remain involved through my role on the Board.”
“EBP has developed a strong culture built on care, courage and precision, and I am grateful to have been part of that journey. I am handing over the operational responsibility to Krister with full confidence.”
Krister Fahlström brings extensive experience from the industrial sector and has a strong understanding of the Group. His first priority will be to lead the development of EBP’s new business plan and continue the company’s journey from component supplier to integrated module supplier for the automotive industry and other technology-driven sectors.
“I am taking on this role with great respect, enthusiasm and energy,” says Krister Fahlström. “EBP has a strong foundation and excellent opportunities to further develop both our offering and our collaboration with customers and partners.”
“One of our key strengths is our ability to manage the entire production process under one roof, from pressing and assembly to surface treatment. We are currently evaluating powder coating as a way to complete the value chain and create new market opportunities from 2027.”
“Our focus will remain on solving our customers’ challenges through close collaboration, technical expertise and strong personal commitment.”
Under its new leadership, EBP will continue its work towards greater automation, increased circularity and fossil-free manufacturing, in close partnership with Europe’s leading automotive manufacturers.
We solve it — with care, courage and precision.
