Sustainability
Sustainable Industry – How EBP Works with Sustainable Manufacturing
At EBP, sustainability is an integral part of how we operate and manufacture. As an industrial manufacturing company, we recognise that our operations have an impact on both the environment and society. That is why we take responsibility for how we use resources, develop our processes and create a safe and sustainable workplace.
Our Sustainability Performance in Numbers
We continuously measure and monitor our sustainability performance. Here are some of our key figures from 2024, reflecting our commitment to people, the environment and responsible business practices.

Environment & Climate
Our Environmental Responsibility and Climate Impact
Our current emissions reporting covers Scope 1 and Scope 2.
At the same time, we are working strategically to enable future measurement of Scope 3 emissions – an important step towards understanding our full impact across the value chain.
Accurate measurement is essential for identifying where our environmental impact is greatest and where we have the best opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

Energy, Emissions and Investments
In 2024, we carried out a comprehensive energy audit to support future improvements and investments. Total energy consumption decreased compared with the previous year, driven in particular by a significant reduction in LPG use.
During the 2025 summer shutdown, we completed a major upgrade of the curing oven used in our coating process:
- the energy source was changed from fossil-based LPG to renewable electricity
- new, modern purification technology was installed
- VOC emissions were reduced through regenerative, combustion-free technology
These improvements strengthen our operational efficiency, working environment and regulatory compliance, while also reducing our climate impact.
The road to a greener future
Sustainability as a strategy
At EBP, sustainability is a central part of our business strategy and corporate culture. We strive to be a leader in environmental and social responsibility, and we are proud of our progress in the area of sustainability. Here are some of the initiatives that make us a sustainability frontrunner:

Our operations are certified according to ISO 14001, which means we follow international standards for environmental management and continuously improve our environmental performance.
Energy-Efficient Production:
By investing in the latest energy-efficient technology and optimizing our processes, we reduce our energy consumption and carbon emissions, contributing to a greener future.
Waste Management and Recycling:
We have implemented comprehensive recycling programs and actively work to minimize waste and maximize recycling at every stage of our production process.
Social Responsibility:
We take responsibility for the well-being and safety of our employees by creating a secure and supportive work environment. We are also actively involved in the local community and support various social initiatives.
Sustainable partnership:

Waste, Chemicals and Resource Efficiency
Waste is an inevitable part of industrial manufacturing – but how it is managed makes a significant difference.
At EBP, we continuously work to:
- increase waste separation and recycling
- reduce the amount of hazardous waste
- improve process efficiency to minimise material waste and scrap
We maintain an ongoing dialogue with our waste management partner and actively improve both procedures and working instructions.
Our chemical management is overseen by a dedicated chemicals team. Every new product is risk-assessed with regard to both occupational health and safety and environmental impact.

Responsibility in the Value Chain and Procurement
Our role in the value chain is to deliver high-quality body components and sheet metal parts while maintaining high standards of business ethics and responsible sourcing.
We work primarily with suppliers based in Europe and maintain an active dialogue on environmental responsibility, ethics and sustainable development. Our Code of Conduct applies to employees, suppliers and business partners and is an integral part of how we operate.
A Safe and Meaningful Workplace
With more than 100 employees, we have an important responsibility – and we take it seriously.
At EBP, we aim to create a workplace where people:
- feel safe and supported
- have opportunities to grow and develop
- take pride in their work
Through dialogue, collaboration and a long-term perspective, we work to create a working environment where both our people and our business can grow together.
